High Capacity Processing for Industrial Steel Fabrication

July 8, 2021

Edmonton, AB – July 8,2021 – Waiward improved and maximized their steel fabrication processes with the addition of the Peddibot to their CNC Detail Equipment line. The Peddibot comes equipped with a Kjelberg HiFocus 440-amp plasma cutting system. It is designed to combine faster cutting speeds, rapid process cycling, quick changeovers and high reliability to maximize productivity.

The cutting intelligence of the plasma torch allows for dynamic performance and stability during cutting and marking processes 360 degrees around the material. The highest level of accuracy is achieved throughout production.

What is the Difference? Old Way vs. New Way

Manual Methods Peddibot
Overall Speed Lower Productivity – Completely Manual Higher Productivity – Fully Robotic
Decreases Efficiency of Other Processes Yes – Requires regular Crane Use No – Standalone
Accuracy Unpredictable – Manual Superior – Robotic Controlled
Repeatability Unpredictable – Manual Superior – Robotic Controlled
Material Handling High – Requires Regular Crane Use Low – Roller Handling System
Footprint Impact High – Several Fitup Stations Minimal – 1 Machine and Handling

With the new innovative CNC technology, the Peddibot brings, Waiward continues to provide exceptional performance within the 216,500 sq ft. fabrication shop.
